Facebook For Business 101

Facebook for Business 101

Yesterday, it was all about LinkedIn. Today, let’s take a brief look at Facebook for Business 101.

Facebook is by far the most popular social network. It’s where we go to see pictures of peoples’ families and the dreaded cat videos. It’s also a prime opportunity for a business to engage with their customers.

For a business, it’s all about engagement–Being social with customers, getting to know them, listening to them, taking note of complaints, and recognizing where you’re doing well. Use photos of employees in action. Show pictures from that product launch party. Be real people.

It’s also a place where you can post coupons and special offers only available to Facebook followers, but as on all social platforms, content should be useful to consumers. 20% sales pitches at most, otherwise people tune a deaf ear and possibly even stop following.

We’ll be discussing this in greater depth during the upcoming initial season of my Copy This! podcast. Watch for it!
